![]() at this point, which not a lot of players have hit, that character's progression is effectively dead and the only way to recoup that sensation is to start a new character. eventually, any given character will progress to the point where improvement isn't available in sufficiently significant or reasonably likely forms. ![]() players don't enjoy playing if they don't feel like they're making progress. ![]() this is largely done via itemization and procedural level generation but the impact that class choice has on the game's lifespan is also important. I suppose that could be a flaw, but considering the entire game is based around rerunning the same story over and over again anyway, how could you tell? It would be like running WoW content from 1-90 17 times with the same character then complaining that because of the free spec changes, there is no reason to do it with another identical character.diablo is at its very nature an extremely repetitive game, and the way it makes this repetitiveness enjoyable is by changing the way in which you experience it each time.
